Afrobeat legend, Innocent Idibia, aka Tuface, has demanded for the release of rapper, Ice Prince, who was detained over assault on a police officer.

Recall that the rapper who was arrested on Friday according to the spokesperson, Hundeyin, was also charged to court the same day.

He was charged with assault and abduction of a police officer.

Ice Prince, after the court’s conviction, has been remanded. A bail of N500,000 has been issued by Judge, Magistrate Taiwo Oyaniyi. He is to provide that with two sureties.

In reaction to this, Tuface called for the release of the rapper stating that Nigerian Youths are not the problem of the country.

He said it is not a crime to be young in one’s country. He included that the protests made by the youths are for the benefit of the men in force as well.

Tuface wrote, “@Nigerianpolice has it become a crime to be a young person in this country? Every protest and struggle is also for you to have better pay and equipment and proper retirement benefits. #FREEICEPRINCE.”

Recall that a few artistes have also reported cases of assault in recent weeks, artistes like BNXN, Boy Spyce and others.
