American’s TV host, Jeannie Mai and Grammy nominated artist and entrepreneur, Jeezy, finally tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony with family and friends one year after their engagement.

They held their wedding in their home in Atlanta on March 27, 2021.

The TV host revealed they had to cancel their original wedding plans and venue due to COVID.

The couple, who couldn’t wait to be official, turned their wedding into a ‘mini-mony’ with family and friends.

Jeanne said: “We were really looking forward to having all of our friends and family there to celebrate. But we had to change all of our wedding plans due to COVID.

“After Jeezy’s mother unexpectedly passed, we quickly learned that life is too short.

“And at the end of the day, Jeezy and I really just wanted to become husband and wife. So we decided to turn our original wedding into a mini-mony, where we exchanged our vows in front of our immediate family and a few close friends.”

Jeannie also made sure their guests observed the necessary COVID tests and got their results with them to keep the wedding safe.

“Once everyone was tested and confirmed negative, our guests were shuttled to the surprise location—our home,” she said.

The couple met when he was a guest on her daytime talk show ‘The Real’. She said, “Years later, he asked me out on a date.

“We shared a romantic sushi dinner in Los Angeles and salsa danced the night away. Later that evening, he asked if I could picture spending the rest of my life with him. And crazy enough, I could.”

The couple were forced to cancel their trip to Vietnam because of the pandemic. Unbeknownst to Jeannie, Jeezy had intended to propose on that trip.

However, they ended up spending more time together during the quarantine where they later had their Vietnam-themed date night in Los Angeles and the TV host said ‘Yes’ to her lover.
