Two members of the House of Representatives from Cross River State have dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The lawmakers, Lego Idagbo and Michael Etaba, will now join the State Governor, Ben Ayade, at the APC after his recent defection.
The defections were announced on Tuesday by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, after reading letters from the two lawmakers.
This defection is the latest in the gale of defection that continues to rock the PDP.
The defections were protested by Toby Okechukwu, the deputy minority leader
Meanwhile, the Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, is reported to be on the verge of dumping the PDP as well. Reports claim he would be received by the APC today.
