Nollywood stars have reacted to Wizkid’s comment about the death and unseriousness of rappers in Nigeria.
The artiste who has been trending for days made a comment in a recent interview about how he only listens to afrobeats.
He said rap music is dead because the rappers only move towards the same beat and flow.
Celebrities have criticised their artiste’s comment. They described his words as demeaning.
Actress Susan Peters wrote, “Dear WizKid, putting down your colleagues is not right at all . I don’t know why we do this but I guess it’s a part of us , we are the most selfish humans on earth .
“The Me Me Me Mindset is what’s Killing us , and we complain about the country . The change we need starts from You.
“We talk about corruption when we all practice it , some won’t use you for jobs , some won’t post you on their pages , some won’t sign some artists , some won’t celebrate you even though you celebrate them. Very selfish humans God created and all for what ?
“Meanwhile if it’s gossip they will post and show without not been asked , we should all stop this behavior. Let’s all change our mindset kocho!
“Once you say the truth they cut you off , the world doesn’t like people who are truthful , they prefer those who play Politics and that’s the problem.”
Uche Ogbodo blasts Wizkid for his actions. She compared the artiste to Davido. She said, “Wizkid was wrong! Too wrong! How could you say such about your people! Who do us this thing sef?
“Which Babalaolwo mix this juju wey say Nigerians must hate fellow Nigerians! No loyalty to your people! To your country! Only selfishness everywhere!
“Abeg make all of them getat! This is not nice! All Nigerian rappers y’all are the biggest and the greatest. Abeg! David would never do this! Lai Lai!!”
