The family of entertainer Seun Kuti are showing their full support in solidarity over the trending assault scandal the artiste is involved in.

Recall that the artiste who was caught assaulting a police officer on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos, is currently in detainment.

The court on request from the state counsel added four more days to the artiste’s remand.

His family, Femi Kuti, Yeni and Made, have all shown their support online, at shows and during the court proceedings.

Femi during a performance said the family are solidly behind their own and he wouldn’t be going into details because the trial is ongoing.

He also stated that the artiste was supposed to be on tour.

Femi said, “Just before we embark on this tour, my brother Seun got arrested. Unfortunately, I can’t talk about it because it’s in court…But I want you all to know that we have one of the best lawyers.

“The family is solidly behind him (Seun Kuti) and we do hope for a positive result at the end of the day. He is supposed to be on tour. And then the bail was granted but they extended the detention.”

Yeni on social media shared a picture taken from the court. She was with her nephew, Made Kuti. She wrote, “United we stand!!! @bigbirdkuti @femiakuti @madekuti @funkekut.”
