The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 195 new cases of COVID-19 and four fatalities in the country.
In an update via Twitter on Tuesday night, the NCDC also confirmed that no patient was discharged in the last 24 hours as recoveries stood at 255.
While Lagos State racked up 80 fresh infections, Kano returned to the fore with 38.
Ogun and Bauchi States recorded 15 each with Bauchi (11), Borno (10), Gombe (9), Sokoto (5) and Edo (5) also recording cases.
While Zamfara had two new cases, the quintet of the Federal Capital Territory, Rivers, Enugu, Delta and Nasarawa recorded one new infections.
The latest figures is a record daily high tally for fresh cases and deaths since the first case of COVID-19 was confirmed in the country.
And with more labs expected to begin full operation soon, the numbers could shoot even higher in the coming days.
