President Donald Trump has warned Harry and Meghan that they must pay for their own security, as the US isn’t ready to bear the burden.
The president’s remarks come after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved from Canada to California.
“I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Sunday evening.
“Now they have left Canada for the U.S. However, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!”
