MEMBERS of the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress have denied endorsing Ahmad Lawan as the consensus presidential candidate of the party ahead of the party’s presidential primary.

There were reports that the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu on Monday announced Lawan as the consensus candidate.

Adamu reportedly announced Lawan as the party’s preferred candidate at the meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja.

But the National Organising Secretary of the party, Suleiman Argungun, while addressing journalists at the party secretariat after the NWC meeting, stated that the issue of picking a consensus presidential candidate was not discussed at the meeting.
