Estranged wife of former minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, Precious Chikwendu, has opened up about what led to the divorce and separation from her ex-husband.
In a lengthy yet touching interview she had with media personality, WithChude, she explained how she met the former minister and what led to their separation.
According to her, her first encounter with FFK was in an airport, where she boarded the same airline with him and when she was about to get her luggage, someone affiliated with him came running and begging for her number.
She said the person was threatened to get her contact or he would lose his job, which led her to give him her number.
However, she said she felt disrespected afterwards considering the manner he approached when he called her.
Precious also talked about how she supported him by appearing in court with him and listening to all his sad stories about his previous marriages.
She said she decided to go with the offer after a failed relationship she had just recently had.
According to her, the betrayal from her former relationship had her thinking, so she accepted to bear FFK the sons he required of her.
Precious said the birth of her first child and the triplets were through IVFs, so the gender were selected according to the procedures.
According to her, the abuse started when she was pregnant with her first child.
She said she received punches in her protruded belly, and other parts of her body.
In her words, she said FFK resulted in emotional abuse as well, words like “Is it because of the cockroach you are carrying, I will remove the cockroach”.
On so many occasions, she explained she fled the house or been thrown out when he starts with the accusations and abuses.
Precious said FFK used pictures to control the damages after the abuse to paint a different picture to the world.
She mentioned names of prominent persons who FFK had used to beg her to return home after such occurrences happened.
One of the persons she mentioned was the late Clergyman, T.B Joshua.
Precious told Chude how the clergyman had called her to listen to her side of the story and had promised that such will not happen again. She said she returned to the house for peace to reign.
She said the incident that eventually led to her separation was the day she returned home after an operation, which was August 2nd, 2020.
She said FFK flared up because of her friend who followed her home, a friend that she found out later had an ‘entanglement’ with FFK in the past.
According to her, FFK called her into a room where some staff were lined up. She said FFK accused one of them of stealing his money and she interfered even as she was still hurting from the operation, but it bounced back on her and she had to leave for her safety.
Since then, according to her, FFK had tried every means to either have her back or defame her character.
She also revealed that was the last time she saw her four sons.
