Fuji artiste, Wasiu Ayinde, also known as Kwam1, has stated reasons he can not run for any political office.

Kwam 1, in an event titled “FUJI-Opera”, held at Alliance Francaise, Mike Adenuga Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Monday, December 14, 2020 said he will not run for any political office.

He said the problem lies with the ‘Promise and fail’ system the past and present government has incorporated in their daily lives.

According to him, he does not want to make promises he knows he might not be able to fulfil due to factors behind it.

The artiste said this might be due to unexplained circumstances but the citizen might not even understand, and that the process of promising without fulfilment is draining.

Wasiu Ayinde is also the first Mayegun of Yoruba land.

Recall that months ago, KWAM 1 had assaulted a broadcaster named Wole Sorunke in Ogun State.

This erupted, leading to the broadcaster asking that his (Wasiu)’s title be removed and given to someone else.

The Ogun broadcaster, Wole Soronke, had accused Wasiu Ayinde and his ‘boys’ of beating him up at the 60th birthday party of the Olu of Itori, Oba Abdulfatai Akamo.

The Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) ordered its members to stop playing the veteran artiste’s songs on their radio and television programmes.

However, the issue has since be resolved at a meeting held at the palace of Olu Itori in Ewekoro Local Government area of Ogun State.
