Singer Babatunde Rahim also known as Lyta, has stated reasons he left the YBNL records.

Recall that the singer who got signed to the record label in 2018 left in 2019 over a disagreement with the founder, Olamide.

In a recent interview with Echo Room Podcast, Lyta shared tiny bits of why he left the record label barely a year into his contract.

Lyta said he acted based on rumours, rumours he didn’t share during the interview.

According to him, he was a kid in the industry and was easily swayed by hearsays. He said he allowed people get into his head.

He said, “It is just confusion. Maybe I was the one who was confused. Then when I dropped ‘Temi’, I met new people in the industry and there was so much stuff like that, and friends that were in the industry already were whispering things to me.

“I’m a small boy, I can’t say I’m a small boy but like there were so many things and I didn’t know which one to believe.

“Some people got into my head with random s**t. I can’t even blame myself because I believe it is normal for upcoming artistes who don’t understand the industry.”
