Grammy winner, Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, has stated reasons he has been silent about the 2023 elections.
Burna Boy said he has no candidate and that he does not want to lead the people astray because he doesn’t believe in any of them.
He said this on his Instagram page on Monday. He stated that Nigerians take it hard to believe that not in support of a candidate is not a big deal.
The singer also shared his DM and how some netizens had called him out.
Burna Boy wrote, “I dunno why its such a big deal to some Nigerians that i’ve not been vocal about the elections. Personally I don’t have a candidate that i believe in.
“I’ve never supported any political party or candidate in my life because I don’t want to make you vote and then blame me when the persons f#cks up as usual.
“That being said, I hope all votes count and the best man wins.”
