Music Producer, Samuel Oguachuba, also known as Samklef, has blamed Nollywood for recent cases of young Nigerians who have been caught in ritual practices.
Samklef stated that the plots often played in Nollywood movies have made Nigerians desperate.
He also pointed out that some of these plots promote fetish moves because they are based on ‘juju’ and religion.
He said, “These Igbo Nollywood, English and Yoruba movies are the reason why a lot of young boys are doing rituals. They keep promoting fetish stuff in all their movies.
“Nigerian movies producer can do better. Everything must not be based on juju and religion.”
Recall that some young teenagers were recently caught in the act where they were accused of trying to use another teenager for ritual, this amongst many more cases of teenagers and young adults involved in ritual practices.
