Afrobeat stars, Wizkid and Tems, have bagged another achievement each at the 2023 National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP).
The 54th edition of the NAACP annual ceremony, was held virtually. The list of winners was released on Monday night.
The award night is to celebrate black excellence in art, music and other crafts.
Wizkid won the award in the Outstanding Collaboration (Contemporary) category for his feature on Chris Brown’s ‘Call Me Everyday’.
Tems won the award in the Outstanding International Song category for the theme songs of Black Panther, Wakanda Forever, No Woman No Cry’.
Recall in 2022, the two stars won the award for their song ‘Essence’ on Wizkid’s Made in Lagos album.
