The woman that was shot during the invasion of the US Capitol on Wednesday has died, a Washington police spokeswoman confirmed
Unverified videos appear to show the woman who was part of the protests on the floor inside the Capitol and bleeding after gunfire erupted momentarily.
The deceased has now been identified as Ashli Babbit, an Air Force veteran and Trump supporter from San Diego, California.
The metropolitan police are now investigating the incident to ascertain the circumstances of the shooting
However, the police succeeded in arrest of some of the protesters as was able to secure the building after the pronouncement of a curfew by the DC Mayor.
