Singer Yemi Alade and Wizkid’s aide, Godson, have engaged in an online brawl over the loss of Wizkid’s two nominations, especially the one lost to Beninese legend, Angelique Kidjo.

Recall that Wizkid’s fans and a great number of Nigerians had questioned the results of Grammy after the singer was pronounced the winner.

Some had blasted the singer for always topping young singers, others went off asking how her album had superseded Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’.

Yemi Alade, taking sides with Angelique Kidjo, referred to Wizkid’s album as ‘Pangolo’ and she also went off on Wizkid’s fans.

She said, “Angelique Kidjo dropped an Album in which the headline song talked about the dangers of climate change-induced disasters (that the west is worried about) and how it will impact Africa more but you are wondering why she won a Grammy for THAT body of work? Stop playing.

“Please take your time to listen to the album. Listen to “Africa, One of a Kind” and “Mother Nature”. Drip your pangolo expectations before you listen to them so you can enjoy good music.”

Godson took to his Instagram to blast Yemi Alade in turn stating that Wizkid tickets sold out in one minute in Paris, something Yemi will never be able to do till she dies.

It reads, “Yemi Alade with ur french n francophone sing alike meaningful and soulful music will never be able to sell any venue out in 1min till u die yes till u die.”

Responding to the post, Yemi reposted a photo of herself alongside text images on her Instagram. She said it’s not worth responding to Godson.

She said, “Before you argue with someone, ask yourself, is this person mentally mature to grasp the concept of a different perspective? If not there is no point to argue.

“Never regret being a good person to the wrong people…

“Not Every Question deserves an answer …sometimes choose VAWULENCE…respectively.”
