Yinka Odumakin’s family releases funeral dates

The family of the former spokesman of Yoruba socio-cultural group Afenifere and human rights activist, Yinka Odumakin, has announced burial dates of the father, Pa Ezekiel Odumakin.

The deceased’s widow, Joe Okei-Odumakin, made the announcement on Tuesday. Yinka’s father died at 116.

Joe, in the statement, stated that the father will be buried on November 12. He died August 29 after a brief family discussion and prayer.

The statement read, “On Friday the Nov. 11, his remains will be lying-in-state at his Moro residence in Osun and later Service of Songs at C.A.C Church, Oke Waasinmi, Moro, where he was an Elder and Baba Ijo.

“On Saturday, Nov. 12, interment holds at his Moro residence followed by thanksgiving service at C.A.C Oke Waasinmi, Moro in Osun.

“Pa Odumakin is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.”

The human rights activist died in April 2021 at Lagos State Teaching Hospital.
