2023: Pete Edochie endorses son, Yul, for president

Nollywood star and Politician, Yul Edochie, has been given full support and approval to run for the 2023 presidential election by his father, Pete Edochie.

Yul who is a son of veteran actor, Pete Edochie,has indicated his interest to run for presidency.

Yul, born January 7, 1982 in Lagos recently clocked 39 this year, but had declared his intentions to run for Governor of Anambra state on July 14, 2017.

He announced his intention to run for the Presidential position on Instagram on his birthday.

His caption read: “Happy 39th birthday to me. Last year i asked for wisdom, you gave it to me Lord.

“This year i ask for your grace Oh Lord as i prepare to run for presidency of Nigeria in 2023. To bring peace, Unity & progress.”

The actor who has had intentions for a while revealed his father’s full support for his presidential ambition on his Instagram page on Thursday, February 12.

In a video, he said, “My Father Chief Pete Edochie endorses my 2023 Presidential ambition. God Almighty, take absolute control.”

The Nollywood star admitted that although he is not into politics, his children are free to do whatever they want.

Pete complemented his son, listing some of his qualities. He said he is “disciplined, sympathetic, and believes a lot in people.”

He said, “My values are very strong. I have my own children and they are very strong in that regard too. I am not one to be involved in politics. But you see, no all you children are bound to follow you.”

“We like him. He is disciplined, sympathetic, he believes a lot in people. They have bothered me so much that today, I’m hereby presenting him to you. He has my blessing. He has my endorsement.”
