Niger Delta Affairs Minister, Senator Godswill Akpabio, says he is confident that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, will win next year’s election.
He made this claim on Friday during the inauguration of the presidential campaign council in Ikot Ekpene Local Government.
Akpabio, who is the APC candidate for Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, said making Tinubu the next president is a task that must be accomplished for the security and prosperity of Nigeria.
In his words, “I was planning to come back to this state as your president. When I assessed the APC, I noticed that we needed peace and unity in the party and since the Northern Governors in their show of patriotism, have decided that power should come to the south, I had to give my support to one of the founding fathers of the party and a man with vision and mission, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“I have just returned from the North with our Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Tinubu. From what I saw, he enjoys tremendous support from our northern brothers. He is accepted all over the country and from the political indices on ground, he will emerge the next president”, he said.
