Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has removed all posts about her political career over her loss.
Recall that in 2022, Funke announced her political career and she hopes to be the deputy governor of Lagos state. She had announced that she joined the People Democratic Party (PDP) as the running mate for Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran better known as Jandor.
However, following the loss with APC’s candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, winning with 19 out of 20 polling units in Lagos, she has taken visible steps on social media.
Although Funke is yet to announce her decision, it’s obvious something went horribly wrong.
A quick check by a Kaftan Post confirmed the new changes on her IG page.
Funke Akindele lost her polling unit 019, Ita Aro square, Àga/Ijimu ward in Ikorodu, Lagos State to the incumbent governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the results collated from the polling unit, PDP secured a total of 19 votes while APC scored 77 votes.
The actress who had announced her retirement in the industry shortly after she unveiled her political race had stated that her 15.7million followers would vote for her.
