THE All Progressive Congress has disowned the alleged leaked budget document revealing the party’s plan to mobilise N6.5 trillion to fund vote-buying and support ahead of 2023 polls.

The National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka, debunked the reports in a statement on Monday.

The statement reads in part “Mischievously, the document alleged our party has voted a whopping N6.5 trillion to fund schemes aimed at swaying the Nigerian electorate to support and vote for the party and presidential Candidate in 2023”

Morka also frowned at the allegations and termed it malicious means designed by the opposition party to dissuade people and tarnish their party’s image.

“In their zealous attempt to mudsling, the document’s authors senselessly alleged that our party progress to apply nearly half of the country’s entire budget to buy votes”

He affirmed the integrity of the party in delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians and its willingness to distance itself from fraudulent activities and electoral malpractices in the coming elections

“APC remains committed to building an innovative system of free and credible elections in the recently concluded elections in Ekiti state”

He, however, urged Nigerians to disregard the propaganda.
