Angel’s mother, Titi, has reacted to the accusations made on Angel, who is a fellow housemate in the Big Brother house.
Recall that some housemates, Maria, Nini and Peace, were granted access inside the executive lounge yesterday and they discussed about some housemates but laid more emphasis on Angel.
Maria said Michael referred to Angel’s private part as the dirtiest and nastiest he has ever seen. Peace and Nini also had their share in the discussion.
This of course created an uproar among the viewers, prompting a reaction from both mother and father of the housemate, Angel.
Angel’s mom, took to her Instagram to show support for her daughter. She said she is ashamed of some elderly women who are comfortable ‘sl*t-shaming’ a 21-year-old girl.
She said, “Too much hate coming from women on a 21years old girl what a shame, to all the aunties hating how market nah cruise we dey cruise don’t take it too personal.
“@theangeljbsmith even if the whole world is against you I promise to always stand by you”.
Her father, who handles her social media accounts, also reacted to the news.
He said, “Slut shaming again?? For how long are we going to keep addressing, educating and sensitizing on this same issue?
“There is nothing new under the sun and this is all we anticipated already but is this really how we want to normalise profiling? We have been called a slut, ashawo, loose, dirty and all sorts because of how we choose to portray ourselves physically.
“Judging a person does not define who you are. It defines who you are. Take off your blindfolds and see beyond the appearances. Train yourself to do better as an individual so others around you can tap into that energy.
“Keep your respectability politics to yourself. At the end of the day. Nothing can break our girl, ko por ke. We moveee.”
