After the letdown we had on Day 8, I bet we were all expecting the same on Day 9. But we were grinning from left to right by the time we were done with the episode. From interesting topics like food portions, food poisoning, financial capability, betrayals in the house and of course the gossip.
‘Hilarious’ is the word for Day 9. It was fun to watch!
Ebuka started the day asking housemates what they felt about what others had said about them in the house from the clips they watched while out of the house. Lilo said she doesn’t have anything that bad that was said about her. Wathoni said Erica told someone that guys who approach her are tasteless. Dora also said she heard Vee intentionally made spicy foods in the house so she wouldn’t have to eat from it.
Dorathy/Vee
In her defense, Vee said the food thing in the house was becoming too much so she decided to make food in the house too and she loves spicy food. Ebuka asked Vee if she did that intentionally knowing Dorathy has ulcer, but still went ahead to make them, and especially with the clip where she said she made food so people with ulcer wouldn’t be able to eat. Dorathy said she felt Vee purposely did that.
The biggest gossip
Ebuka asked the house to vote for the one they feel gossip the most in the house. They all voted Brighto to be the biggest gossip. Neo had 2 votes, while Lucy had one. Well, it didn’t come as a surprise to the viewers. A clip was then shown to the housemates where Brighto as usual was telling Kidd how he believes Neo talks too much in the house. Neo explained that in a house like that, he is bound to communicate with people and he is a real person so he talks a lot about his background.
Praise also talked about the things Brighto said about his ex-fiance while in the house that led to several insults and shade being thrown at her. He requested a public apology from Brighto for the things he said about her. Laycon seconded what Praise said. However, Vee said an apology should be private and more sincere. Brighto shocked everyone when he said he owes no one an apology.
Lilo/Vee
About things said in the diary room, Ebuka asked Lilo if she felt bad about the things people said in the diary room. Lilo said she is less concerned about that if it wasn’t about her. However, she was upset Vee nominated her up for eviction considering their friendship in the house. Vee said Lilo wasn’t passionate about her stay and the prize of the show hence the need to evict her, she also pointed that she was in a tight spot when asked to pick someone. Lilo disagreed with that, saying Vee ought to have discussed that with her before making assumptions on her own. It led to an outburst and Lilo decided to put an end to the topic.
Tochi/Katrina/Lucy
These trio should open up a restaurant, Tochi as the manager so he can get food on time and in great portions, Katrina as the chef because the food tastes good and Lucy as the attendant because she is always in the middle of it all. So Tochi slammed Katrina for always dishing small portions for him and the need for an attitude because of food. As usual, Katrina flared up and it became a battle for who is the loudest in the room. Lucy came into the picture to defend the act of food distribution in the house.
Tochi/Dorathy
It was obvious that Tochi meant these ladies and he had grudges deeply rooted in him. While ranting about one thing or the other, he unintentionally or rather intentionally mentioned something related to Dorathy. “Somebody was telling me I wait for them to greet them, what the f***k.” Dorathy came swiftly into the picture saying Tochi should be bold to talk to her directly. She said Tochi doesn’t greet until one greets him. Tochi also talked about how bad he felt when he tried to comfort Dora after Katrina’s eviction but she rejected that while she accepted Prince’s comfort at that time. He admitted he felt bad.
Other topics include Lucy and Tochi who went on and on about the clique Tochi was forcing himself on when it clearly didn’t match who he is, and also about Brighto’s gossip about how Prince couldn’t afford Nengi’s worth because of his financial incapability. Prince answered saying he doesn’t have to show people his worth. In his words, “People always draw conclusions about other people’s pockets, I don’t bother or concern myself trying to tell you how much I make or how much I’m worth.”
Wathoni wrapped up the night by saying she wasn’t desperate to get boo’d up with someone in the house, she only needed someone to bond with.
