Celebrity makeup artist, Anita Adetoye, also known as Anita Brows, has given hints about the crash of her marriage.
The ex-wife of Mr Nigeria and actor, Emmanuel Ikubese, in a recent podcast has spoken about what she wants in a relationship.
In the podcast, Anita talked about how some men make you believe they are within your tax bracket just to be with you and you find out you’ve been deceived.
She said some Nigerian men are on the lookout for successful and thriving women who can stand on their own.
Anita said, “Being a Nigerian, I have learnt that a lot of men go after women that look like they are doing well and her making more.
“Men aspire to be with women like that, even though they are doing well themselves.
“Nigerian men know how to package themselves to make you fall for them.
‘Dating within your tax bracket? For me, anything below, I can’t. I can’t really do that anymore. I feel like I have dated someone because I thought they were levelling up in their life, but it was just a facade.”
The couple since their breakup haven’t spoken about what led to their abrupt divorce barely a year after their elaborate and beautiful wedding.
They got engaged in 2019 and tied the knot in 2020. Barely a year later, they both deleted their wedding pictures and unfollowed themselves on Instagram.
