Former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in what happens to be his third defection to the opposition party.
Recall that he first decamped from AD to PDP in 2003 and then from PDP to LP in 2006 before decamping back to PDP in 2014 and then to ZLP in 2016.
His defection on Monday makes it the third time he would join the PDP.
This time, he joined from the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
It was earlier speculated that he would join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) but that did not happen.
Recall that he was the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum.
It is yet to be known if he would contest any position under the umbrella of the opposition party.
