Popular comedian, Debo Adebayo, also known as Macaroni, celebrated his 28th birthday today, May 3, 2021.
Born on May 3, 1993 in Lagos, Nigeria. He studied Theatre Arts and Film studies at the Redeemer’s University, Ede. Osun State.
Here are four things to know about the popular comedian;
Fast-rising comedian
The ‘Daddy wa’ character has speedily gained fans over the years. His character represents the classic “sugar daddy” type of men who carelessly spend on younger girls, especially those with sexy and catchy bodies. In an interview, the comedian spoke on why he chose the role. According to him, it’s a way to expose those types of men in a funny way.
Actor
Debo, before he earned the ‘Daddy wa’ nickname, has been in the Nollywood industry for years, especially the Yoruba industry. He just recently switched to being an Instagram comedian, making comedy skits. He is known for the movie ‘Ponzi’ where he acted as Uchenna.
His sense of humour can be seen in some of his roles as an actor even when he is not shooting a skit.
Activist
Debo has shown his prowess as a good patriot, especially as a growing youth in the country. His participation in the last concluded #EndSARS protest was amazing. He was among those at the ‘warfront’ of the protest. Macaroni was also arrested on February 13, 2021 at the Lekki Toll Gate during an ongoing protest to stop the Tollgate from operating without answers needed from the government.
He has since been advocating for a change especially in politics and the Police Force.
Philanthropist
Macaroni celebrated his 28th birthday with the idea to make twenty-eight people happy. In one of his videos he posted on his Instagram page, he paid the sum of N25,000 for a product worth N2,500. According to the comedian, his aim was achieved.
