Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has condemned the act of jungle justice on gay men who were allegedly stoned to death over their sexuality.

A Shari’a court sitting in Ningi local government area of Bauchi state sentenced three men to death by stoning some days ago.

This had attracted a lot of reactions on social media. Controversial actor, Uche Maduagwu reacted to the news, stating that the punishment was a harsh one.

Reacting to the news, Yul Edochie, said judgement should be left to God and not men. He said he is not in support of jungle justice.

Yul Edochie wrote, “How can you stone a human being to death because he is gay.

“Stoning a man to death because he’s gay is wrong.”

“Condemn him if he engages in criminal activities. Condemn him if he’s a rapist. If not, leave judgement for God.”

The men; Abdullahi Abubakar Beti, Kamilu Ya’u and Malam Haruna were served with their punishment according to the Shari’a law.

The act according to Islam religion is unacceptable.
