Afrobeat singer, Tolulope Ajayi, professionally known as T-Classic, has revealed how his colleagues saved him from depression when he could no longer carry on.
In an interview with HIP TV, the ‘Makaveli’ singer said Mr P of Psquare, Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade and comedian Real Warri Pikin offered to help him and it did help.
According to him, he got depressed over an encounter he had with a fan who had referred to him as an upcoming artiste. This was disclosed in a post he had shared on his Instagram page prior the interview and before he released his single, Makaveli.
In the interview, he said, “I was depressed before I released my single ‘Makaveli’ but thank God I was saved by Mr P (Peter Okoye), Omotola and Real Warri Pikin. It was a tough time in my life.”
Speaking about the pressure of collaborating with top stars in the industry, he said it’s not always easy trying to get their attention to a song, especially since these stars are always booked.
“It’s been hard to collaborate, but I don’t blame the big artists because they are usually busy and have shows, other events to attend.”
