The founder of Church of God Mission International Headquarters, Bishop Febi Idahosa, has revealed how the loss of his son had almost made his family land in a state of disarray.
The clergyman in an Instagram post said they had lost their first son after trying for so many years and the enemy had tried to make them afraid and scared for the future.
He said the question of ‘what ifs’ were birthed. According to him, they had allowed the presence of God to take control.
Admonishing his followers, he advised that they allow God to take his will in times of trouble.
His post read, “The fear of “what if?” — When we lost our first son in his 12th hour of life, after 5 years of trying…the enemy tried to control us with fear and doubt.
“What if that was our last chance? What if we could not have another child? What if God didn’t answer this time?
“That last question is really the heart of the matter. The devil wants you to think God won’t answer YOU. ‘What if you pray and there’s no answer’ he whispers.
“You might be in a place where you’re worried by the question of “what if?” The question is not, “God, will you protect me or answer me?” but rather Jesus’s question to us, “Why are you afraid?” (Matthew 8:26). Here’s the answer. God always hears. He will give you the best answer that fits your future.
“For us, He answered and gave us the 3 boys pictured here. He will give you an answer. But more importantly, He will remove your fear. You will smile again.!”
