Suspected international fraudster and self acclaimed millionaire Ramon Olorunwa Abass also known as Hushpuppi, has been fingered as the brain behind the £2 million swindle of Italian Football Club, Lazio in 2018.

Lazio, currently occupying second position in Italian Serie A with just seven point behind leaders Juventus, fell victim to a email scam by the 38-year-old Nigerian fraudster two years ago and reportedly paid the huge sum of money to him believing it was making final payment for the transfer of Feynord defender Stefan de Vrij.

Hushpuppi was arrested last month in Dubai, over what was reportedly the sum of $431 million cyber scam and has been taken to the United States where he will face trial.

The Lazio scam was executed through a mail when the Italian club received some documents said to have been from Feyenoord, which includes bank details, asking for balance.

Just recently, the United States Department of Justice revealed that the fraudster and his gang almost defrauded a Premier League club to the list of their victims before they were caught.

The former Dubai based social media celebrity, who appeared for the first time in Chicago court on Friday, is facing a possible 20 years jail term.
