Davido’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu, who is also the mother of Imade, Davido’s first child, has revealed the struggle she had at first when it came to giving Imade her father’s surname.
The mother of one, in a question and answer section on Tuesday, June 1, on her Instagram page, asked ladies what they think about a child taking the father’s name only after birth and nothing of the mothers.
She reacted to a post where someone stated that children should be allowed to take both parents’ name since the world is revolving. Sophia then asked, “Ladies, what y’all think?”
Sophia went ahead to talk about her own experience when she had Imade.
She said, “I remember my mom and aunties laughing at me when I was crying because my daughter’s last name wasn’t going to be Momodu.
“I was genuinely distraught, I was even arguing & everything that they put her father’s full name and not a single letter from mine.
“Pulled out my feminist card & everything…Z! E pain me gan that year sha awww.”
