Founder and CEO of Mavins records, Michael Collins Ajereh popularly known as Don Jazzy, has revealed his past struggles and failed marriage.
The record producer revealed on his Instagram account Saturday, April 3, 2021, the reason shy his marriage failed in the past and why he is taking his time.
Don Jazzy, in his post said he gets asked several times by friends and his fans of his plans about settling down, but he has never revealed why.
According to him, he married his best friend eighteen years ago when he was just twenty years. He claimed he forfeited his marriage for his music career and regretted it.
However, he claimed the reason he is taking his time is because he is still devoted to his first love, which is music.
He also revealed the reason he is opening up past events is because of his last interview with TV host, Ebuka where he felt he didn’t reveal all when he was asked.
He said, “For so long everyone keeps asking me when am I getting married? Well truth is: almost 18 years ago I was 20 and I got married to my best friend Michelle and it was beautiful. I loved love and loved marriage.
“Michelle is sooo beautiful inside and outside with such a soft heart. But then me being so young and full of dreams I went and f***ed it up cos I was giving all my time to my music.
“Music became priority instead of my family. We got divorced when I was 22 and it hurt. I am still very much in love with my music and I wouldn’t want to marry another and f*** it up again.
“So I’m taking my time. Why am i just saying it now? I really like to keep my relationship private actually. Past or present.
“But I was watching the bounce interview with Ebuka which is almost like a tell all interview, and I felt bad skipping this huge part of my life. So yeah make una no vex,” he said.
Unknown to many, some of his fans are asking if this is an extension of ‘April fools’s day’. One said, “Are you extending april fools…”
Many are still stunned while many are appreciating the fact that he was able to reveal this part of him.
