Former assistant to afrobeat singer Davido, Aloma, has revealed that some unknown persons in the industry had tried to implicate Davido with the death of his friend, Tagbo, who died in 2017, by offering him N100m to throw the artiste under the bus.

In a video made on social media, Aloma had stated that although this happened a long time ago, this will be the first revelation of what happened at the Police station.

According to him, he was offered a blank cheque to testify against his boss, Davido, but he refused.

He said, “This is the first time I’ll say this. When I was at the Lion Building with Tagbo’s lawyer, they said I should write a statement that Davido killed Tagbo.

“They offered me a blank cheque of N100m to just say Davido killed him, that he sent me.

“Fear industry, they are trying everything possible to drag David down,” he concluded.

Davido, who was brought in for questioning, denied the allegations and was freed to leave.

Davido’s friend, Tagbo, was reported to have died from excessive alcohol consumption.
