The Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, on Tuesday says it is his turn to become the Senate President.
Kalu made this claim while answering questions from reporters at the National Assembly.
He urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to zone the seat to his village in Igbere in Abia North Senatorial District.
He said with his position as the Chief Whip of the ninth Senate, he is the most ranking Senator from the South East and therefore deserves the position.
The lawmaker has been tipped to be given the privilege of becoming the Senate President as expected to be zoned to the Southeast.
