Governor Adegboyega Oyetola says he has kept his campaign promises in the past three years of his administration.

In a broadcast yesterday to mark the third anniversary of his administration, he said: “We’ve maintained fidelity with our electoral promises”.

He said he would work hard to exploit and develop the critical sectors of the state’s economy such as agriculture, tourism and mining to rescue Osun from overdependence on federal allocation and turn it into an economic hub of the South West.

The governor said his administration had revitalised over 300 primary health centres and renovated some general hospitals in the state.

He said other primary health centres would soon be completed to cater for the healthcare of the residents, particularly at the grassroots.

He said the Osun Health Insurance Scheme was offering free health services to the vulnerable citizens and delivering affordable healthcare to workers in the state.

The governor also said his government had commenced efforts to exploit mineral resources in the state and translate them to wealth.

He said the ongoing construction of Olaiya Flyover in Osogbo had reached 85 per cent completion and would be commissioned soon.

He said his government was rehabilitating roads across the nine federal constituencies of the state to improve on road networks, open up the rural areas and ease movement of people and their produce to ensure rapid socio-economic development.

He said his government had sustained the construction of major road projects inherited from the immediate past administration.
