Kannywood star, Aminu Muhammad popularly known as Kawu Mala in famous TV series Dadin Kowa is dead.
The actor died on Sunday evening, May 7, after a long battle with heart related illness.
According to Islamic rites, he was buried on Monday, May 8, at the Haye cemetery in Nasarawa local government area of Kano state.
The actor had served the Hausa language movie industry for two decades with outstanding projects. However, his lead role in Dadin Kowa TV series made him popular.
One of his acting colleagues according to Daily Trust, Murtala Karabiti, stated that he can only be prayed for. He described the deceased as a man of great virtue who had no bad comments about him.
Karabiti said, “Doctor, as we used to call him, is a friend to everyone and a brother to most of us, I have known him for over 20 years and all through these years, I have never heard any bad comment about him. He has gone, ours is to pray for the repose of his soul.”
He was survived by a wife and 10 children.
