Baba Gana Kingibe has not been appointed as the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, KAFTAN Post authoritatively learnt.
It would be recalled that a popular online news platform, had on Saturday claimed that Kingibe was being touted as a possible replacement for the late Abba Kyari.
The online news platform also claimed that were it not for the First Lady, Aisha Buhari’s insistence that she did not want another member of the ‘cabal’ to occupy the chief of staff’s position again, Baba Gana’s appointment would have been announced.
However, a close confidant of Kingibe, who spoke to KAFTAN Post in anonymity, said such a story is false.
According to the source, “Kingibe has been busy with receiving condolences on behalf of Abba Kyari’s family as both were very close for decades.”
“New Chief of Staff will not be Kingibe but the former elected VP and retired diplomat will sure be part of the succession process,” he concluded.
