Controversial Senator representing Kogi West in the Senate Mr. Dino Melaye today ended the hide and seek game he was playing with the Police as he voluntary surrendered to police authorities.His lawyer and two Senators had earlier visited him in his house shortly after noon.Senator Melaye who was later accompanied by his lawyer, Mr Mike Ozekhome,Senators Boma Good head and Atai Aidoko-Ali arrived at the Force Headquarters at about 3:00pm. According to Bode Gbadebo one of his aides, the embattled Senator , his lawyer and the two Senators were informed the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris was not available to receive him.Senator Melaye who was directed to report at the Commander’s office at the Special Anti Robbery Squard,SARS, was still with the officer as at press time.The Kogi state Police Command had invited him in July 2018 over alleged attack on a policeman at a road block.
