Davido’s aide, Israel DMW, has reacted to the diss made by US based Afrobeat star, Yung6ix, over who the main pioneers of Afrobeats really are.
Recall that following Davido’s interview where he referred to new artistes as ‘new cats’, there has been several reactions from artistes like Iyanya, Seun Kuti and others with Yung6ix inclusive.
Yung6ix had made a video on his Instagram to remind Davido how he was one of the many artistes in the 2010s to make hit songs.
He told Davido to appreciate him and that he doesn’t fall in the category of new cats. According to the hip-hop artiste, he made hit songs before Davido.
In response to this, Israel said Yung6ix is being ungrateful because Davido helped his career by featuring in his song for no fee.
He made the comment in an Instagram story on Friday.
Israel wrote, “My dear Delta brother 6ix, still remember how ga made you blown in ur music carer by featuring in ur let me know remix freely after much pleadings.
“It is never good to be ungrateful in dis life brother. One love.”
