Senator Ovie Omo-Agege Trounces Ike Ekweremadu to Emerge Deputy Senate President.
The former deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu came second after polling a total of 37 votes against the winner, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege who scored a total number of 68 votes.
In all, 105 Senators cast their votes out of which one was invalid and one absconded.
The deputy Senate President elect, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege was subsequently sworn in by the Clark of the National Assembly.
