The National Chairman of the Zenith Labour Party, Hon. Iranola Akinlaja, in a telephone conversation with KaftanPost correspondent has reliably made it known that the party will receive the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, who recently dumped the People’s Democratic Party where he lost the ticket to contest the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
According to the statement, the National working committee of the Zenith Labour Party, after a meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday, had finally ratified the modalities for the reception of Agboola. The event is scheduled to hold in Akure, the Ondo State capital on Friday at the Party’s Secretariat.
Buttressing this assertion, another Chieftain of the Zenith Party and former law maker in the state, Hon. Afolabi Akinsiku, in a separate conversation expressed optimism that the coming of Agboola into the party will be a game changer in the forthcoming October 10 election as the party structure within the state will have no choice than to massively support the new candidate under the Zenith Labour Party platform.
Also commenting on the much anticipated development, the Media Adviser to Agboola Ajayi, Mr. Allen Sowore, said the polity in the state will no longer be the same come Friday when the Ondo State Zenith Labour Party will welcome Agboola Ajayi to emerge its flagbearer.
