The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar says the first thing he will do if he emerges in the February 25 election is to reopen Nigeria’s borders and make lives easier for Nigerians.
Atiku stated this on Wednesday while addressing a mammoth crowd at the PDP presidential campaign in Dutse, the state capital.
He promised to focus more on improving agriculture and business as well as set aside 10 billion dollars to support women and youths in Nigeria.
“I will support farming and business as the main activities of the people of Jigawa State. I will also open the borders for easy trade between Nigeria and Niger Republic and other neighboring countries if you vote for PDP.”
“I will also handle and resolve once and for all, the incessant problem of the Nigerian universities to the point that they will never go on strike again,” Atiku said.
Meanwhile, the National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, said Nigeria needs an experienced president who can solve all the county’s problems.
According to him, the ruling All Progressives Congress is not a party for development and is not taking care of the yearning and aspirations of the common man.
“APC is not a party for development, it is the part of deceiving people and telling lies.”
