Prince Harry has arrived in London ahead of his grandfather, Prince Philip’s burial.
Recall that Prince Philip, 99, died on April 9, 2021 following a heart correction surgery.
This is the Duke of Sussex’s first visit to Britain since quitting royal duties and the jaw-dropping incidents made by Meghan and Harry in Oprah’s interview.
The Duke of Sussex was reportedly seen leaving his California home without Meghan on Saturday night, April 10, in a black Cadillac Escalade to board an early-hours flight from LA, and disembarking a BA plane at Heathrow airport around 10 hours later on Sunday, April 11.
The Prince was met by security off the plane and put into a black Range Rover, before he was driven to Kensington Palace.
It is reported that he would be quarantined at the same place he proposed to Meghan, Nottingham Cottage.
His official home under the Megxit deal, Frogmore Cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle, has been handed to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, who had their first child in February.
Prince Harry is expected not to wear a military uniform at the funeral after being stripped of his honorary military positions for quitting his royal duties.
The Queen stripped Harry of his role as Captain-General of the Royal Marines, which he took over from Prince Philip, after deciding to quit royal duties last year.
The 36-year-old also lost two other honorary military positions.
However, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge, and the Earl of Wessex are expected to attend in their own military outfits.
Another male senior royal who will not be in uniform is Prince Andrew. The Duke of York stepped back from public life in 2019 over his friendship with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
