The Senate has cancelled its plenary scheduled for Tuesday to look at the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen by President Muhammadu Buhari and the appointment of an Acting Chief Justice in his position. A terse statement released and signed by the Clerk of the Senate, Mr Nelson Ayewoh Monday evening said the Senate will now reconvene on an earlier fixed date of February 19.
The Senate had over the weekend cut short its adjournment earlier fixed for February 19 to tomorrow in the wake of the suspension of CJN by President Muhammadu Buhari last Friday.
