Upcoming artiste and dancer, Terungwa Albert Ikon, popularly known as Ortrees, has been reported dead weeks after he went missing.
The news was announced by a Facebook user, Orga Richard Chin, on Monday June 6, who stated that the remains of the deceased was dumped near a river by an unknown persons after he was tortured and killed.
The body was found on Sunday, June 5, 2022.
He was reported to have gone missing on Wednesday, April 23, 2022 in Benue state only to be found dead six weeks after.
He was the brother of singer Orduen Ikon Andrew also known as OD Woods.
According to reports, Ortrees had left his brother’s house for their family house in the North Bank area of Makurdi and had not been seen since then.
Searches made by the entire family and law enforcement agencies had proven abortive.
He is best known for his songs, Earth Anthem, Plants and Lorax.
