Fast rising skit maker, Stanley Chijioke, also known as Abokisofunny, has been confirmed dead.
The news was announced by his brother, Chinoso, on Facebook.
The skit maker was reported to have lost his life in a motorbike accident on Sunday at the Cement bus stop in Lagos.
Chinoso described his brother as a rare gem he would greatly miss. According to the grieved brother, he can’t stop crying from the loss.
He said, “I just lost a dear brother and it is really difficult for me to believe.
“Stanley AKA Aboki Funny you are a rare gem and a brother indeed. Death why now. I can’t stop crying.
“Does it mean I will not see you again? Does it mean our planned big project in September will not happen? I will miss you, my brother. Hmmm. May your soul rest in peace.”
A friend with the name Denis Adinya, on Facebook wrote how his impact will never be forgotten especially among the Youth of their church.
He wrote, “AN ICON HAS FALLEN. STANLEY CHIJIOKE ( AKA ABOKI THE MC). Your death shook the general members of the Catholic Youths Organization Of Nigerians ( CYON) and parishioners of St. Sabina’s Catholic Church Idi Mangoro Agege.
“The tremendous impact you created in us will forever be unforgettable in our memories, your dimensional gifts/ talent will remain a vacuum because no one will be able to fix it.
“My deepest sympathy and prayers are, that God should grant your soul internal rest. THE CYON WILL MISS YOUR IMPACT. REST IN PEACE MC ABOKI.”
His comment section on his IG page has already been filled with tribute from fans and his loved ones.
