Talent manager and Oritsefemi’s ex-manager, Lady Kara, has reacted to the number of cows and other animals being donated for Obi Cubana mother’s funeral.
According to a source, over 300 cows, and other animals have arrived at Cubana’s house. His friends have been trying to outshine themselves with the extravagant spending.
Lady Kara took to her Instagram page on Thursday, July 15, to speak about how so many cows were not really needed for such an event.
She admitted to the stereotype of Igbo men and how they love to spend lavishly on their parties. However, she feels that over 200 cows is too much.
Lady Kara also pointed out the issue of insecurity in the country and prayed for their safety.
An excerpt of her message on her Insta story reads: “I’m Igbo and yes we love to throw awesome parties with yummy offerings but 200 cows for one party…a burial. That’s a bit over the top.”
She also stated that the act will have a negative impact on the young generation because they will feel this is the right way to do things, therefore increasing their desperation to make money.
“I’m worried about the mentality of young ones idolising this hushpuppy type of display. Is it motivating them or is it an indoctrination?”
