Reactions are pouring in from netizens and celebrities over Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz’s break-up.
The husband, in the early hours of Thursday,had broken the news of their separation to the media via his Instagram page.
According to JJC Skillz, the marriage had been difficult for them for two years and all efforts to make peace reign has been proved abortive.
Reacting to this, many took to their social media accounts to either drop quotes to preach love, to slam either of the couple or to preach against marriage.
Some blamed Funke for being a successful woman who drove her husband out of their apartment and marriage out of pride.
On-air-personality, Toolz, on Twitter wrote, “We don’t live in their house, but it ‘HAS’ to be Funke’s fault because she’s a successful woman. What a lazy narrative. Please ladies don’t get too successful o.”
Actress Chizzy said, “My marriage is working and will continue to work in Jesus name.”
Reacting to Chizzy’s statement, another actress slammed the colleague, saying people are always using people’s predicament to preach.
An excerpt of what she posted on her story read, “Sad how people laugh at someone’s predicament, awon “My own marriage will work”… How about you say the prayer in your home or in your mind… ”
Blessing CEO wrote, “Almost all the beautiful unions that we all use to hold on too are going down ?. It is so heart breaking but that does not stop marriage from being the most beautiful thing God gave to mankind but na mankind dey spoil am .
