Actress Damilola Adegbite has opened up about why her marriage with Ghanaian actor, Chris Attoh, didn’t work.
The duo tied the knot secretly in 2015 after they had welcomed their son in 2014. Their marriage ended in 2017.
In a recent episode on ‘With Chude’, Damilola said love was not enough to hold her marriage because the marriage needed other things to survive which it lacked.
“Love is not enough. When you meet somebody and you want to spend your life with them, love is just one of the qualities that you need. But it is not everything,” she said.
She added that the only regard she has for Chris is that he is the father of the child they share together.
Damilola went further to state that she would rather keep the main reason for their break up till when her son is old enough to understand so she could tell him.
According to her, her son has started asking questions why his father doesn’t live and share their journeys together.
She said she doesn’t regret their marriage because she tends not to regret things. She added that it happened for a reason.
