The Nigerian Police have confirmed that the suspect, IVD, who was rumoured to be on the run over his wife’s accident has been arrested and detained.
The Police superintendent and the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police, Benjamin Hundeyin, claimed that the man has been arrested and detained contrary to the family’s allegations that he is on the run.
Hundeyin tweeted this on October 17, 2022.
He said, “Contrary to claims by family and friends that 37-year-old Ikechukwu Ogbonna aka IVD is on the run, he has been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, (SCID), Yaba.”
Recall that the family of the deceased released a statement today to confirm that the husband of the deceased is on the run. They also begged the public to help them apprehend him.
